- Duckbill valves: This part creates the suction that pulls out milk from your breasts by releasing and stretching every time you pull the pump motor.
- Backflow protectors: This is a silicon diaphragm that restricts the milk from flowing back into the tube.
- Tubes: Your breast pumping parts are connected to the motor pump via tubes.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE PARTS?
It is very essential tips assemble all the parts of the spectra pump. First, you must attach the duckbill valves beneath the flange and then screw the bottle to it.
Now, put back the backflow protectors by inserting the diaphragm into the base and then put the top into the base by twisting it. Attach the backflow protector to the top of your breast by twisting it. Then, attach one end of the tube to the protector and the other side to the pump. To double pump, use both the tubes on the pump.

- Night Light: This light turns on and off at different levels.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF BREAST PUMPS?
The spectra breast pump should be washed after every use in hot soapy water. Remember to never place the tubes in a dishwasher. Never submerge the pump in fluid. In case it gets dirty, use a damp rag to clean it.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU REPLACE THE PUMP PARTS?
Pump parts don’t last forever, hence, you should always consider replacing them accordingly.
- Flanges should be replaced every 6 months.
- The duckbill valves should be replaced once every month.
- The backflow protectors should be replaced every six months, and then you should also change the tube if it has a lot of moisture inside.

- Check if the battery is charged or not.
- Confirm that the duckbill valves aren’t worn out.
